Get the Microsoft Teams licenses you need

Every Teams calling user needs a Teams Phone Standard license before onboarding. Here’s how to buy and assign them.

Before onboarding, make sure each Teams calling user has the following in place:

Buy and assign Teams Phone Standard licenses

Open your organization’s admin portal and select Marketplace.
Search for Microsoft Teams Phone Standard and click Details.
Click Buy.
Set the number of licenses you need, then continue to checkout.
Click Assign licenses.
Assign the licenses to the users in your organization who will make and receive calls.

Note: each Teams calling user needs their own license.
