What is VoIP?

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) lets you make calls over a broadband internet connection instead of a traditional phone line. It turns your voice into digital data that travels over the internet.

Can I keep my existing equipment?

Yes, as long as it’s compatible. See our recommended VoIP phones, or ask us to check yours.

Can I keep my phone number?

Yes. Mobex can port your existing number to us. See the number porting FAQ.

Can I have a fax line?

Yes. Email support@mobex.biz to add one.

What do I need to use VoIP?

A device (a computer, smartphone or VoIP desk phone), a reliable internet connection, and a VoIP service such as Mobex. You can also use a softphone app instead of a desk phone.
