Mobex Mobile FAQs
What eSIM is, which phones it works on, switching lines and what to do if you lose your phone.
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a SIM built into your phone, smartwatch or tablet. Instead of inserting a physical card, you activate it digitally. That means you can add a line or change plans without swapping SIM cards, hold more than one line, and use it when travelling.
How do I set up the eSIM?
Scan the QR code Mobex sends you. It contains everything your phone needs to add the line. See the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy guides.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, Mobex Mobile works on both iOS and Android phones that support eSIM.
How do I switch between my two lines?
Use your phone’s settings to choose which line handles calls, messages and data. Usually only one line can use data at a time, but both can be active for calls and texts, depending on your phone.
What if I lose my phone?
Contact us straight away. We can deactivate the eSIM to stop anyone using it, and send you a new QR code to set it up on your new phone.
